All competition registration happens on the day of the festival — just show up, sign up, and compete for bragging rights and prizes. Whether you're a serious contender or just here for the laughs, our competitions are a highlight of Pickle Fest Texarkana.

Pickle Eating Contest

Who can eat the most pickles in the shortest time? Test your limits in our classic Pickle Eating Contest. Contestants compete in timed rounds, and the winner takes home prizes and the title of Pickle Eating Champion. Registration opens the morning of the festival — arrive early to secure your spot. All ages are welcome to compete (with age-appropriate portions). May the best pickle lover win!

Pickle Juice Holding Competition

Think you've got the grit to hold the brine? Step up and grab a massive stein filled with pickle juice and see how long your arm can hang in there. It sounds easy… until the brine starts burning and the crowd starts cheering. Last person still holding their stein wins the ultimate bragging rights!

Pickle Juice Drinking Competition

Get your belly ready and your taste buds brined up! Step up and see who has what it takes to drink down pickle juice the fastest. It's salty, it's tangy, and it's guaranteed to get the crowd cheering. Think you've got the stomach for it? Come give it a shot—more details coming soon! 🥒🥤

Pickle Canning Competition

Do you have a secret family recipe that deserves a blue ribbon? Bring your best canned creation that features pickles as one of the star ingredients and compete against fellow brine-loving cooks from across the area. From sweet to spicy, classic to downright creative, if it's canned and it's got pickles in it, it belongs here. Multiple judging categories will be announced—so bring your best jar and see if your recipe takes the top dill! 🥒🏆

Dress Your Pet Like a Pickle Competition

Bring your furry, feathered, or even scaly friends out to Pickle Fest and show off their best pickle-inspired look! Dress your pet up like a pickle (or anything delightfully briny) and parade them in front of the crowd for a chance to win bragging rights for the most creative, cutest, or most dill-lightful costume. If your pet has personality and a pickle outfit, this is their moment to shine! 🥒🐾
